Molly Noblitt has remained largely out of the public eye since becoming involved in the tragic case surrounding Aubriegh Wyatt, a 13-year-old girl who took her own life on September 4, 2023, after enduring relentless bullying. Molly, along with three other girls—Peyton Hembree, Ava Case, and Parker Green—has been accused of contributing to the bullying that led to Aubriegh’s death. Even after Aubriegh’s passing, the bullying allegedly continued, compounding the pain felt by her family and community.
The Wyatt Family’s Fight for Justice
Aubriegh Wyatt’s parents made efforts to bring the bullying to the attention of the local school board. However, their attempts were met with resistance. Due to Molly’s father, Monty Noblitt, holding a significant position within the school district as the Assistant Superintendent of the Bay St. Louis-Waveland School District, and his influence within the educational community, no disciplinary action was taken against Molly or the other girls involved.
The Noblitt Family and Their Background
Molly is the youngest child of Monty and Kathryn Smith Noblitt. The Noblitt family is well-known in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where Monty has built a respected career in education. Originally from Vancleave, Monty has been married to Kathryn for over 24 years, and they have three children: Deuce (22), Maddox (16), and Molly (13).
Monty Noblitt has held various leadership roles in education, including serving as the Assistant Superintendent of the Bay St. Louis-Waveland School District for five years. He also worked as the Athletic Director for Hancock County for four years and served as the principal of Bay-Waveland Middle School during the 2022–2023 school year. Monty’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Juris Doctor degree from the Mississippi College School of Law.
Calls for Accountability
Despite Monty Noblitt’s distinguished career, there has been growing public outcry for justice for Aubriegh Wyatt. A petition is currently circulating, calling for the removal of Monty Noblitt from his position within the school district due to the perceived conflict of interest and the lack of action taken against the girls involved in the bullying of Aubriegh Wyatt.
The tragedy has sparked a larger conversation about the impact of bullying and the responsibilities of school officials in addressing such cases, especially when conflicts of interest might influence the outcomes.
